We went to the Aquarium today with our playgroup. We have been to the Aquarium many times but each time is a new adventure. Chance discovers something new each time we go and enjoys the experience in a whole new way. It was a wonderful day so we rode the streetcar, it is just a few blocks from the house and takes us right to the steps of the Aquarium for less than it would cost us to park if we drove our own car and none of the headache.
We met up with our group just inside the front doors then started out through the halls looking for fishies. On this trip Chance discovered a truck inside one of the tanks. It sits at the bottom and every few seconds bubbles come out of its hood. It must have been there since we started coming here but this is the first time we saw it. He wanted to help the truck get out of the tank. When we came to the big frog this time Chance didn't need any help getting on top, he climbed up all by himself and although he didn't want me to take his picture he didn't have a choice because he had to use his hands to hold on instead of hide his face.
Speaking of faces, everyone posed in the face cut outs this time. Chance plays the part of the starfish in both of these pictures, the seal is played by Octavian in the first picture and by Karrissa in the second picture.
Moving on , boy will be boys. All the kids liked playing in the Shark but the boys had to climb over the teeth to get out. From left to right: Octavian, Karrissa, Chance and Sophia.
Chance and Octavian have to explore everything so here they are looking out on a waterfall in the Amazon section of the Aquarium. We had lots of fun at the Aquarium, as usual, Chance was super tired by the time we got home and so was I for that matter. We will probably visit the Aquarium a bit in the coming months as it gets too cold for the Zoo.
