Another video

While we are here in Florida I am trying to use my time to be most helpful and so I am cleaning and cleaning out. My grandparents lived in this house for 25 years so there are a lot of things sitting around here that have either been passed down through the generations or have been accumulated in the last few years. A few cool things I have found are these record players and 8-track players as well as a bunch of albums and 8-tracks to play on them. This video is special because the music in the background is my Dad. I got the record player working so I put on The New American Image (my parents band) and set it to the one song where my Dad is listed as lead vocals. Chance immediately started dancing. We listened to the rest of the album both of us singing and dancing. It was a pretty special experience for me and we had a great time.

While we have been here my Sister Kristy has made up a little song for Chance. It's really a twist on the Rice-A-Roni theme but Chance really likes it and asks her to sing it all time. So here is a little video of them together.

Swimming

The pool water here is finally warm enough to go in every day. Chance has been going in the pool nearly every day after his nap. It's great because it keeps him active and it's right here so it takes very little prep to go in anytime we want. He is getting so tall that he can even stand on the bottom of the pool in the shallow end so he has had a great time jumping off the last stair and splashing around. It is definetly time for some swimming lessons when we get home now that he is playing in the big area of the pool he needs to know how to swim. Adding that to my to-do list now.

It's been a while

Life has been so hectic lately, so I am sorry for being so behind again. We have been in Florida for the last week and a half. week before last my Grandma had a stroke and just when she seemed to be getting better she had a heartatack that in the end took her from us. She was 85 years old. My Grandma was one of those storybook perfect Grandmas. She was always willing to help with anything be it homework, yard work or house work. I can only hope to be as selfless and caring as she was seemingly every day of her life. The house is empty without her but at the same time a little lighter too. I will miss her very much but I know she was ready to go. Now she is living the high life with my Grandpa again.

Been so long

We have been without internet for so long. A while ago a construction crew came to work on the sewer near our house, since then our internet has been spotty and mostly gone altogether but Cox came out and replaced the entire line from our house to the hub about 8 blocks away. We should be good for a while. As a quick post to get us started back in the swing of things, here is a picture of Chance at the NFL kickoff parade today. The parade is to kickoff the football season in the home of the Superbowl champs. It was hot but we had a great time catching beads then we went to a coffee shop for some cold drinks to cool off before our walk back home. The parade rolled just a few blocks from the house so it was a short walk then we were able to watch all the pregame entertainment on the television before the game actually started. Go Saints!!
